I didn't usually get up early. For one thing, Jeremy slept on deck in the cockpit and I didn't want to wake him up. For another thing, the sunrise was usually hidden since we often moored on the leeward side of an island, with the bulk of the island blocking the sunrise (and the wind).
But when we were moored at Petit Tobac, there was nothing between the boat and the sunrise (except clouds). I got up early and opened the forward hatch. Then, standing on the counter in the bathroom, I poked my head up and took this picture of the early morning sun.
