Alaska 2013 trip: Buildings, boats and totem poles from around Stika as well as other boats and buildings seen in the inside passage.

Chatham Cannery
On Stikof bay, off Chatham Strait, Northeast of Sitka, AK.
Logging Operating
While crusing north of Sitka, AK we observed a logging operation where a helicopter would ferry logs from the hillside to this waiting ship. You can see one log beling lowered in this photo.
Purse Seiners
These fishing boats are known as purse seiners after the type of net they are using (purse seine). In this picture you can see the net coined on the deck.
