Some of our landing are wet landings, where we have to jump off the boat at the beach (our feet get wet). Some of our landings, like this one, are dry landings, where the boat can pull up to concrete steps provided by the park service. Unfortunately (as is the case here) the steps are often infested with sea lions. That is Theresa (with her ipad mini camera) being helped ashore.
The hike on Bartolomé Island consisted entirely of walkway and stairs (around 380 of them) put in place by the park service to limit erosion. Right-to-left: Larry, Even, Daphne, Barbara, Pete, Julia, Karen, Theresa, Bill, Bernie, Tracey and Carol.
Daphne poses on the top of Bartolomé Island in the Galapagos. Held in her right hand (left side of the picture) is the island called Daphne Minor. Held in her left hand is the island called Daphne Major.
