Petit Byahaut (July 15-17)

Sleeping bats in walls of bat cave (Jul 16, 2004, 02:13pm) After lunch Brian, the resort operator, took Daphne and I one bay north to the "bat cave". This is a cave at the waterfront that is flooded so you can swim through it. The ceiling of the cave is a nesting place for hundreds of bats (hence the name). For this picture, I held the camera over my head and let it flash. I hoped to catch some of the bats in the ceiling, and if you look close you can seem them nesting in the crevices in the roof of this bat cave.
