Cottage 1 on Little Bluff in setting sun (Jul 24, 2004, 06:22pm) For sunset on July 24th I decided to try to walk closer to the west side of the island. I walked partway down the forest path, past conch bay to the northern tip of the island. Then I waited for the sun to set. This picture was taken by looking east, back at Petit St. Vincent, a few minutes before sunset. I was able to capture the reflection of the setting sun in the windows of cottage 1. Now if had only stayed in that cottage, what a nice view we would have of the sunset every day.
Sunset reflected in the wet sand (Jul 24, 2004, 06:30pm) And here is sunset seen from near the northernmost point of Petit St. Vincent.
Colors just before sunrise (Jul 25, 2004, 05:39am) One of the real advantages of cottage 4 is that it faces due east to the Atlantic Ocean. In the morning, I can sit up in bed and see the colors of the sunrise each morning. On the morning of July 25th, I dragged myself over to the deck to capture this picture of the illuminated clouds just before the sun appeared.
