Front lawn of Petit St. Vincent (Jul 24, 2004, 02:55pm)
A peek at some well placed beach chairs (Jul 24, 2004, 03:17pm) This is view of Atlantic Beach from the steps down from Telescope Hill. The roof you see is one of the beach front cottages (cottage 7 or 8).
Flags outside of cottage 4 (Jul 24, 2004, 03:30pm) This is the entrance to cottage 4, where we stayed while we visited Petit St. Vincent. Notice the signalling mechanism. There are no phones in the cottages. If you want anything (food, tea, laundry service, etc.) then you fill out a little form and place it in the bamboo tube just above the cottage number. Then you raise the yellow flag. The staff regularly drives around the island on the little carts, and when they see a yellow flag, the pick up your request and handle it. Turn around time is suprisingly fast. By the way, the red flag means "do not disturb". But no one on this island hideaway would need that :-).
