(179 pics) Photographs from the second third of our 2004 trip to St. Vincent and the Grenadines, when we stayed on the sailboat Fortitude. Please read the journal before looking at the pictures (link).
The Osprey Shuttle passes by (Jul 21, 2004, 10:10am) As we left Tyrell Bay, on our way to Mayreau, I took this picture of the Osprey Shuttle as it passed by Mabouya Island, just north of Carriacou. The Osprey Shuttle runs between Grenada and Carriacou's Hillborough jetty (on the north shore), making the run in only 70 minutes (which would be more impressive if I know how far apart the islands were).
Passing Mabouya Island (Jul 21, 2004, 10:21am) Yes, that's a pelican in the center of this picture. This is the southern end of tiny Mabouya Island, just north of Carriacou. The larger island in the background is Carriacou, specifically L'Esterre Bay.
Daphne rides in the back of Fortitude (Jul 21, 2004, 10:22am) One of our regrets about our time on the sailboat was that we never had a really strong wind, and the boat never really keeled over very far on any of our legs. But in this picture, you can see a little lean.
